Dr. Ankit Patel
Dr. Ankit S. Patel, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at HCG and Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. He specialises in Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery, Spinal Deformity correction and Spinal Oncology. After completing his graduation from Seth G. S. Medical College - KEM Hospital Mumbai & MS Orthopaedics from B. J. Medical College Ahmedabad he got trained in renowned spine centres across the globe receiving the ASSI Clinical & Travelling Spine Fellowships, Scoliosis Research Society ‘Robert B. Winter’ Scholarship, Spinal Cord Injury Society Gold Medal Award Fellowship & many more accolades in his career. He is an author of more than 15 scholarly peer reviewed papers and chapters in text books of spine Surgery. He has been academically active in the Association of Spine Surgeons of India Young Surgeon Forum and Bombay Spine Society. A winner of Young Surgeon of the year award at SMISS Las Vegas, USA, Korean SIOT Award in Cape Town, he has served as faculty and fellow at NHS Nottingham Spine Centre UK, New York Presbyterian Hospital USA, Wilhelmina Kinderhaus Paediatric Spine Centre, Netherlands & Aarhus University Hospitalet Denmark. He has served at the AOSpine Asia-Pacific Young Surgeons committee and currently is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS) Advocacy committee. He is an avid trekker and also aces badminton.
